Update on 2019 overpopulation case

It’s been a year since the overpopulation case that we dealt with, along with a number of other small independent rescues. Our fundraising appeal raised over £2000 which was shared between all rescues who were dealing with the 20 cats which were found at the property for treatments, spay/neutering and foster care. We would like to thank everyone who supported us in this demanding and difficult time.

The case was passed over to the RSPCA for investigation but unfortunately, they are not able to share the outcome with us.

What we can tell you however is that we are happy to report that all 20 cats have found happy furever homes (spread amongst the various rescues) including Elvis, Alice, Grace and Toothless & Hestor who came to Purrs – despite their ordeal, they are all wonderful cats and we’re so glad they are settled and well.

For legal reasons, we cannot discuss the case & doing so may harm Purrs – we are just happy that we were able to rescue the 20 cats involved and that they are all safe and happy in their furever homes, which is a very positive outcome indeed.
